Frequently Asked Questions

How it works

If you are an Airbnb host based in South Africa, with more than 3 reviews and upcoming confirmed bookings within the next 3 months you may be eligible to receive an advance on your future bookings.

*In order to receive an advance you need to have a South African bank account.

In order to make you an offer we need you to:

  • Sign up and link your account to Airbnb by making support@airadvance.co.za a co-host on your listing.

Once you have accepted the offer we need you to:

  • Send us a copy of your ID book so that we can confirm your identity.
  • Email us a statement of the South African bank account that you use for your Airbnb payouts. This is the same account we will deposit your advance into and also the same account we will debit when repayments are due.
An advance just means that you would like to access a portion of your future Airbnb bookings in advance.
AirAdvance in partnership with Retail Capital will deposit the funds into your bank account within 48 hours of approval.
AirAdvance in partnership with Retail Capital will deposit the funds into your bank account via EFT.

Fees

AirAdvance charges a fixed fee based on your unique Airbnb history and future bookings. You will know exactly how much you are paying before you accept the offer and that fee won't change throughout the repayment process.

You can get up to 50% of your future confirmed bookings advanced. AirAdvance offers advances of between R5000 and R50 000 based on your Airbnb history and confirmed future bookings.

No. We will clearly communicate all of the fees to you in the offer email.

Repayment

We will direct debit your account 4 days after guests check in. It is your responsibility to ensure that there are sufficient funds in your bank account to settle your advance repayment.

In the unlikely event that you get a cancellation we will simply carry the amount owed over to your next booking or bookings until the advance has been repaid in full.

AirAdvance will take the advance back and debit your account for the agreed upon amount. However, if you have had to cancel a booking due to extenuating circumstances we will carry the amount owed over to your next booking or bookings until the advance has been repaid in full.
